Asking the question ‘where did God come from?’ displays you are thinking of the wrong God.
Because the God the Bible is not affected by time, space or matter.
If He is affected by time, space or matter He is not God.
Time, space and matter is what we call a continuum; all have to come into excistence at the same instant.
Because if there were matter but no space, where would you put it?
If there were matter and space but no time, when would you put it?
You cannot have time, space or matter independently, they have to come into excistence simultaneously.
The Bible answers this question in 10 words;
In the beginning
God created the heaven
and the earth
there is time
there is space
there is matter
So you have time, space and matter created which is the trinity of trinities!
Because:
Time is past, present and future
Space has length, width and height
And matter has solid, liquid and gas.
Here you see the simultaneous creation of the material trinity.
The God who created them has to be outside of them.
If He is limited by time He is not God.
The God who created this universe is above it, in it, through it; He’s unaffected by it.
But the spiritual does affect the material.
If a spiritual force cannot have any affect on a material body, than what is what we experience as love, hatred, jealousy, anger and rationality?
If your brain is just a random collection of chemicals formed by chance over a billion of years how on earth can you trust your own resoning proces and the thoughts that you think?
John 4:24 (NKJ)
God is Spirit.
Genesis 1:26 + 2:7 (BSB)
And God said,
“Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.”
Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground
and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils,
and man became a living being.
Man formed from the dust of the ground was an empty shell, a house not yet inhabited.
Only when God breathed His Spirit into that body did man become a living being.
That is who you really are!
You are not the person you see in the mirror, you are the person who dwells within.
You are from God and God is Spirit.
You are therefore spirit and you live in that body you see in the mirror.
So everyone is from God, but we don’t always accept that identity.
Many people take on their own self created identity because they do not know God.
This is why John warns us by saying:
1 John 4:1 (NKJV)
Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God,
because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Do you see that?
This is not about fallen angels or demons taking possession of you, this is about false prophets, people who are not telling the truth about God.
Those people, like you and me, are a spirit in a body.
2 Corinthians 4:16+18 (NKJV)
Therefore we do not lose heart.
Even though our outward man is perishing,
yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
For we do not look at the things which are seen,
but at the things which are not seen.
For the things which are seen are temporary,
but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Like God, you exist eternally.
Eternal life would not be eternal if it had a beginning.
Then you could count its years.
Eternal life has no beginning and no end.
So like God, you exist eternally.
And where does God come from?
God himself answers that question:
Exodus 3:14 (NKJV)
I AM
